West Sussex schools may have to consider not opening five days a week if the government fails to address the ongoing education funding crisis, headteachers have warned.

In today’s West Sussex County Times changes are set to come into force at West Sussex’s rubbish tips from this weekend. West Sussex County Council is reducing the opening hours of its Household Waste Recycling Sites (HWRSs), and closing most sites for two days a week from Saturday October 1.

Also in today’s County Times “I can only describe it as ‘Agatha Christie meets Spinal Tap’”. Supporters of the West Sussex North branch of the Motor Neurone Disease Association are joining forces with a Sussex amateur dramatic group to stage an innovative evening of fun and murder mystery at the Greenway Academy, Horsham in October.
