INDUSTRIAL ESTATE FIRE

Just after 4pm on Monday, Sussex Police and officers from the East Sussex Fire & Rescue Service attended Phoenix Place, Lewes, following the report of a fire.

An industrial unit that has suffered significant damage but no members of the public or residential premises were put in danger.

A joint police and fire service investigation has started as it it is believed that it was the result of a criminal act.

A local youth has been arrested in connection with the incident.
