Initiative pushes the health message

HEALTH Secretary Alan Johnson has launched a scheme to encourage Crawley people to get well, stay well and feel well.

Crawley Wellbeing has been set up at the K2 leisure centre to show people that small changes to lifestyle can make big differences. It will help them take the first steps and is supported by doctors and health workers to help Crawley people to be healthier and happier.

It will also help existing health services by becoming the hub for healthy lifestyle information.

Mr Johnson said: "I'm so inspired by what I have heard today. It's an experience I won't forget. If we can repeat this across the country we will reverse the tide of obesity.

"I can't change these things alone, neither can GPs or schools. But if we link these and other resources together, we can have the power to inspire people."
