Inquest into death of Barnham builder

A BOGNOR man died from cancer after breathing in asbestos, an inquest has heard.

Self-employed builder Kenneth Whitehead (62) was diagnosed with Mesothelioma last year in March following some tests.

Mr Whitehead, of Saxby Close, Barnham, was described as an '˜extremely fit' person who ran half marathons. He died on December 11.

An inquest into his death was held at the Assembly Rooms in Northgate, Chichester on January 29.

West Sussex coroner Penelope Schofield recorded the verdict that Mr Whitehead died from an industrial disease.
