Jacqui Pullen will be taking part in a sponsored skydive on Saturday May 16 to raise funds for Parkinson’s UK.

The 53-year-old was diagnosed with the disease five years ago and since then she has been trying to collect as much money as possible to help the charity find a cure for future generations.

Jacqui said: “There is still no cure for Parkinson’s disease and we desperately need the funds to get more research and help to find one.

“I don’t think there is going to be a cure in my lifetime.

“It may not help me but if it helps your children or your grandchildren or somebody else in the future it is worth it.

“It is not something I would like to see anyone go through.”

This is not the first dare devil stunt Jacqui has completed.

Last year she abseiled down the Spinnaker Tower in Portsmouth raising hundreds of pounds for the charity.

Jacqui said it was because she had been diagnosed with the disease that she had been sparked on to complete these daring challenges.

She said: “When I was fit and healthy, before I was told I had Parkinson’s, I had all the time in the world to do these things so I thought I will do it tomorrow or I will do it another time.

“In the future I do not want to be sitting in the park in my wheel chair thinking I wish I had done that.

“I wanted to do something I have never done before, I am living for the moment.

“I am very nervous. 14,000ft is a long way up but I am also excited about it in a strange sort of way.”
