International language students from Sussex Downs College have been working on a project with the Lewes Priory Trust funded by the Heritage Lottery Fund.

Students from China, Vietnam, Japan, France, Italy and Spain have translated the Priory leaflet into their native languages to encourage foreign visitors to include the venue when they are in Lewes.

It will also demonstrate what a welcoming place the county town is.

Sy Morse Brown, Chairman of the Lewes Priory Trust said: “We are particularly pleased that this further project with Sussex Downs College has involved international students and will allow foreign visitors to appreciate Lewes Priory more fully.”
