Isfield & Little Horsted

OPEN DAY: Tomorrow (Saturday) provides an opportunity to catch up on the significant range of events that are held, many of them on a regular weekly or fortnightly basis, at Isfield Village Hall. The occasion is the hall management committee's Open Day. Many of the village's clubs and other organisations will be exhibiting from 11am until 4pm. Admission for visitors is free. The organisers could do with a bit of help on the day, specifically Brenda Reynolds and her team wouldn't mind a few spare hands for a while in the kitchen while they serve teas, coffees and home-made cakes. Also, anyone who fancies baking a cake and donating it to the event or perhaps giving a raffle prize should call 07515898912. Your call will be most welcome.

REOPENING?: Word has it that Isfield may soon have a shop again. At the time of writing details were under wraps, but a village couple are hoping to reopen the doors at Holly Gap Farm Shop, which was run by Simon Brown for a couple of years until a month or so ago when the business closed. Watch this space.

REMINDERS: Sunday, Palm Sunday parade from Isfield Recreation Ground (9.30am) to St Margaret’s Church for 10am service; March 20, Volunteers wanted for spring clean of the ICE field behind The Laughing Fish (10am); Monday March 28, Tommy Trot Beer Race from The Laughing Fish (1.45pm), with children’s Lemonade Race (12.45pm) and Morris Dancing (3.30pm).
