It will be a job like no other for lucky Littlehampton mum June

GETTING up close and personal with some of the world’s most talented sports stars is exactly what one Littlehampton woman will be doing, this summer.

June Hart, of Admirals Walk, is one of the lucky few selected to be part of this year’s accreditation team, for the London 2012 Olympic Games.

The 54-year-old, who currently works at the Tesco superstore, in Broadpiece, Littlehampton, will be spending a total of 10 days, assisting not only hopeful Olympians but welcoming dignitaries and world leaders to the games, too.

For the mum-of-one, this is a dream come true.

“I was absolutely thrilled when I heard I had been selected. It was like I’d won my own gold medal.

“I still can’t believe I will be doing it – it really hasn’t sunk in yet – it’s just such a surprise. I can’t shut up about it all. I’m always telling everyone that I meet about it,” June said.

For more about June’s role at this year’s historic sporting event, read today’s Littlehampton Gazette (Thursday, May 31).
