It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas..

The lights shine more brightly this year on England’s tallest Christmas tree at Wakehurst Place near Ardingly.The towering 118ft giant redwood tree at the country estate of the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew, has been decorated with a new set of 1,800 festive lights. Expert tree climbers from Wakehurst’s conservation and woodland team rigged up the lights using ropes, specialist climbing equipment and two high level platforms.

Visitors will see the tree officially switched on at 4.30pm on December 1 at a special ceremony marking the start of Christmas at Wakehurst.
