A big thank-you to all our readers!

A big thank-you to all our readers! Because of you, Brighton and Hove Independent is now the best-read newspaper in our city - according to ABC (Audit Bureau of Circulations), the industry-standard body for measuring newspaper circulations.

This newspaper has become one of only a small number of free publications to be awarded an ABC certificate, confirming that our average circulation last month was 12,770 per issue. For comparison, The Argus newspaper sold only 13,746 copies per issue across the whole of Sussex in June; its average total sales were 14,370 per issue in the six months to the end of June - down 13.6% on the same period last year.

Consequently, in just over three years since it was founded, this newspaper has become far and away the most popular in Brighton and Hove.

We could not have achieved this amazing success without your help and support - and that of hundreds of contributors, partners, distributors, and advertisers.

This newspaper seeks to celebrate our city - and the achievements of all the people who make Brighton and Hove what it is.

We are independent: independently-owned; independent in our approach. We want to add value to the city - and not extract profits to be shipped to shareholders in London or in the United States.
