Jacqueline takes to the London catwalk as a model of diversity

A FELPHAM woman has wowed an audience at London Fashion Week.

Jacqueline Hooton fulfilled a lifelong ambition to take to the catwalk at the world famous event. She was invited to model at the ground-breaking event, Catwalk4change, by Models of Diversity founder Angel Sinclair.

Jacqueline said: “Angel contacted me after seeing my photographs from bodybuilding competitions and fitness modelling.

“When she found out I was 50, she said I was the ideal model to showcase mature couture.”

The London fashion show raised funds for Macmillan Cancer Support and Mind.

Many top designers and celebrities attended the event. Some of the UK’s most influential and important magazines, such as Cosmopolitan and Elle, sent reporters and photographers.

“It was a once in a lifetime experience,” said personal trainer and fitness tutor Jacqueline, “and such an exciting thing to be part of.

“One of my highlights from the day was meeting Alex Reid, who said he spotted my muscles on the catwalk.

“We compared the size of our biceps and flexed them for the professional photographers there.”

She is looking forward to more modelling work.
