Jewellery and kitchen appliances stolen from Seaford home


Police are appealing for witnesses to a burglary at a house in Bishopstone in which jewellery and number of kitchen appliances were stolen.

The burglary took place between Wednesday, August 19 and 10am on Saturday, August 22 at a house in Hurdis Road, while the occupants were away on holiday.

The suspects broke the front and back door and made an untidy search of the house before making off with a number of items.

A quantity of jewellery was stolen, including four gold rings, two pearl necklaces and a gold patterned cross on a gold chain. A Magimix food processor, a Delonghi kettle and a set of lime green kitchen scales were also stolen.

Detective Constable Richie Davidson said: “Please contact us if you saw anyone acting suspiciously in the Bishopstone area of Seaford, particularly overnight on Friday, August 21 into Saturday, August 22 morning.”

Any witness or anyone with information about the incident is asked to email or call 101 quoting serial 549 of 22/08. Alternatively, call the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
