Jewellery stolen in Worthing burglary

POLICE are appealing for witnesses after numerous items of valuable digital equipment and jewellery were stolen from a house in Worthing.

Police have just released information about the incident, when thieves entered a house in Bulkington Avenue via the back garden and forced the patio doors open between 4.15pm and 6.15pm on Friday, July 30.

Jewellery stolen included an 18ct gold wedding ring with "MAP 06.12.86 SCS" engraved on the inside and single pearl stud earrings with gold posts through the centre of the earrings.

Digital equipment stolen included a silver MacBook with serial number W8849E781AX, a white iPhone with serial number 87945HSE3NS, a Nikon D60 digital SLR camera with a long lens and standard lens and serial number 7461824 and a digital Canon IXUS 850 camera.

A Dell Inspiron 1525 laptop with a pink top and serial number N1052507 was also stolen.

DC Benjamin Nield said: "This was a very distressing incident for the homeowners, who had only been gone for a few hours.

"I would urge members of the public to contact police if they saw anything suspicious in the area."
