Jogger attacked along Worthing seafront

The victim, a 43-year-old woman from Worthing, was attacked in Marine Parade at around 8.30pm on Saturday, January 3. She was heading west on the promenade near to the Burlington Hotel when she was hit from behind and fell to the floor. She was then hit about three more times.

She managed to run away and alert the police.

PC Daniel Marshall said: “The victim suffered bruising and swelling to her face and was very shaken by the incident. She believes there were three people and describes one of the men as white and around 5ft 9ins.”

He added that the attack was unprovoked and urged anyone with information to contact [email protected] or call on 101 quoting serial 1110 of 3/1.
