The daring challenge will be held at their fundraising event being held at Horsham Rugby Club on Friday March 11.

The ‘Fire Walk’ is one of the new challenge activities that the charity is organising in 2016 as it asks local people to get involved and show their support for vulnerable young children and their families.

“It’s a great chance to do something completely different and unforgettable”, said Home-Start manager Liz Roe.

“I’m taking on the challenge myself and we’re inviting other brave and daring people to join me. It will be a fun evening for friends and family too, who can come along to give the walkers encouragement and enjoy the food, drink and other activities.”

Last year Home-Start helped 355 local children, with their team of trained volunteers offering unique support in the family home.

“We are passionate about our work and want to make sure we can continue helping local families in the future. The Big Lottery Fund has given us great financial support over the last two years but more is needed for us to meet demand for our service. So backing from our local community is also vital for us. And we want to offer as many different ways as we can for people to support us”, said Liz.
