Join in the fun to celebrate children

Building on the success of last year’s event, Women’s Voice are once again hosting International Children’s Day, an annual event that celebrates children both locally and all around the world.

A spokesman says families are welcome to join in the celebrations. “Alexandra Park is the place to be for local children and families.

“The day kicks off at 11am with welcomes from the Mayor Judy Rogers and Cllr Dawn Poole, and runs until 3pm.

“A host of fun activities will be available, including free sports and play activities suitable for children of all ages, provided by Active Hastings, the Play Hastings Team and others.

“There will also be entertainment and performances, including Chinese dancers, provided by local young people.”

“All activities and performances will take place near the bandstand and café. Bring a picnic and enjoy the day.”

The day, which is funded by Hastings Borough Council (HBC) is free and open to all children, accompanied by responsible adults.
