Jubilee carnival

UCKFIELD'S Carnival takes place next weekend and this year's event will celebrate the Queen's Jubilee year.

The weekend starts off with a bang next Friday (September 6) with a grand firework display on Holy Cross School field. The display, which starts around 8.30pm, will feature 3,000 worth of fireworks.

Saturday's fun starts with the children's procession in the afternoon followed by the children's fancy dress competition. In the evening, the grand torchlight procession takes place.
