Andrew Briggs and Alice, nee O’Brien, both attended the same primary school in Bury, although as they were in different classes, they hardly spoke to each other.

Many years later, they met up again and romance blossomed.

Andrew became a front end designer in Shoreditch, and Alice worked for retail fashion house ASOS in London.

After knowing each other for ten years, Alice posted on Facebook: “Some of you may think this is a bit premature but we are

engaged!”

The wedding took place in Bury Church on June 25, 2016.

The best man, Ed Trent and

many of the groom’s men and guests came from the same village primary school.

The bride and groom were married by Father David Twinley who returned specially to Bury from Arundel and had married Andrews’s elder brother Philip ten years earlier.
