FORMER star weather presenter Kaddy Lee Preston netted an impressive catch at a charity fly fishing day in Burwash.
The famous Lakedown trout fishery owned by rock legend Roger Daltrey CBE was the venue for an event held in support of The Children’s Trust.
The day started with a hearty breakfast before fishing got underway. Everyone had fishing time at each of the four spring-fed lakes in tag team events and Kaddy made an early splash with a terrific catch. The sun shone all day and everyone enjoyed lunch and a fundraising auction.
Auction prizes included a microphone signed by Roger Daltry and a cricket bat donated by Phil Tufnell.
A total of more than £6,500 was netted for the charity. Money raised helps to enhance lives of children at The Children’s Trust in Tadworth, Surrey, which provides care, education and therapy for children with complex health needs.
