Keeping safe on the road

EAST Sussex Fire and Rescue Service visited Bexhill High School to teach students about the consequences of getting involved in a road crash.

Year 11 students took part in the Safe Drive Stay Alive roadshow, which emphasised the dangers inexperienced drivers may encounter - speeding, using mobile phones, drinking/drug use and peer pressure.

The Fire and Rescue Service co-ordinated the event and is working with partners to reduce the numbers of people killed and seriously injured of the roads in the county. They want to target young people before they start driving.
