King Offa craft event

THERE were some crafty goings-on at King Offa Primary School on Thursday, but it was all in the name of Christmas, and to celebrate the end of term.

Each classroom was a hive of activity with Christmas cards, Christmas decorations, angels, snowmen - and snow-women - all merrily being drawn, coloured, glued and glittered into wonderful novelty designs.

One pupil, clearly enjoying getting very sticky making sparkly Christmas tree baubles, was five year old Joshua, he said he was having a lot of fun and enthused: "We can put these on our Christmas trees."

Whilst four year old Amanda said: "What I liked was I made a sheep hairband for the Navity play."

Later in the day parents were invited to the school to see the children's spectacular designs, and to enjoy a Carol service followed by teas coffees and mince pies.
