Kitchen fire breaks out at home in Stedham

Firefighters were called to a house in Stedham this afternoon (Tuesday, May 26).

Two appliances from Midhurst joined a crew from Haslemere at the property after a fire broke out in the kitchen just before 1pm.

A Midhurst Fire Station spokesperson said: "Crews wearing breathing apparatus extinguished a fire in the kitchen caused by chip pan."

The fire station posted a picture showing the extent of the damage caused.
