One of the oldest residents of Bognor Regis has died.

She lived at St Joseph's residential home in Albert Road. She had been there for 13 years.

Her funeral will be held in the home's chapel at 2pm on Thursday, February 21.

It will be followed by a service at Chichester Crematorium. Her ashes will be scattered in the garden at St Joseph's.

Care home manager Sister Mary Breslin said: "Kitty was an incredible person. She had so much experience and she lived life to the full until she died. She absolutely loved life."

Her favourite activities included shopping and trips along the seafront. She could walk around her room unaided until her final days, though she needed a wheelchair for longer journeys.

She put her longevity down to regular intakes of Guinness and Buckfast tonic wine.
