Sussex Police say it was around 2.15pm yesterday when a member of staff at Ditchling Post Office, Lewes Road, was approached by the man who threatened him with a knife and demanded cash from the till.

The staff member was forced to hand over several hundred pounds and the robber fled on foot into South Street, then into Beacon Road, where he got into a silver car which drove off in the direction of Brighton.
