Trains to and from Hastings are delayed this morning due to a landslide.

The landslip happened between Polegate and Lewes and caused some damage to a section of track.

Network Rail, whoich owns and maintain the infrastructure and track on which the trains run, has carried out works to make the track safe and have imposed a temporary speed restriction of five miles and hour.

To avoid congestion from building in the area due to the slower speeds at which trains will be travelling, it has been necessary to cancel some services throughout the day.

Customers travelling between Ashford International and Brighton may need to change at Eastbourne.

Passengers are being urged to check their journey before travel.
