Large emergency response to Chichester incident

A large number of emergency services were called to deal with an incident in Chichester city centre last night (Tuesday, May 3).

Sussex Police, South East Coast Ambulance Service and West Sussex Fire and Rescue Service were called to The Hornet in Chichester at about 8pm last night.

The road was closed in both directions while crews dealt with the incident.

Some reports from witnesses suggest that a fire broke out in a nursing home and pictures show emergency service crews parked between LA Fish and Harington Lodge assisted living.
