Last call for Brighton Marathon volunteers from American Express

With only weeks to go until the Brighton Marathon Weekend (April 7-9), community partner American Express is making a last call for Sussex residents to become part of Team Brighton volunteer programme.

A volunteer briefing evening is being held this week (March 16) for those volunteers already registered.

Volunteers will receive a briefing manual containing important information including key timings, dos and don’ts, emergency protocols and course maps.

Last year’s event was supported by around 1,500 volunteers.

Beverly Sawyers, vice president at American Express said: “Whether you’re volunteering for the first time, or if you’re one of the seasoned volunteers who tirelessly support the Brighton Marathon Weekend year on year, it’s the energy and enthusiasm of every single one of you that helps make the Brighton Marathon Weekend possible.”

Volunteer registration closes on April 5.
