Last chance to catch fine art exhibition

Don’t miss out on the last chance to see the work of Pure’s award-winning artists, including: Will Taylor SGFA, a highly collectable and sell-out artist who is inspired by Leonardo da Vinci’s notebooks (Best Print), Mexico-born Gabriella Torres (Best Photography), an architect by profession and living in Berlin, who received a special mention and was finalist of the eighth Arte Laguna Prize in Venice, Italy.

Best Sculptural Piece was shared by Tom Nicholson-Smith, who often works with a chainsaw, and Dizzie Pragnall who is inspired by Egyptian papyrus.

Julian Sutherland-Beatson (Best Painting) was the instigator of the recently formed Eastbourne Festival of Artists’ Open Studios/Houses, as well as artist in residence at Glyndebourne Opera House.

Painter Helen Acklam, awarded Best Overall Artist, was inspired by her travels around the Orkney Islands and Norse mythology, while sculptor Sophie Meopham (Best Emerging Artist) attracted the interest of Tracey Emin at her recent end of year Degree Show.

Hermione Carline (Best Drawing) shows her pieces made up of six sections joined together and suspended within the frame to appear ‘floating’.

The exhibition concludes with the participating artists demonstrating their skills to the public, from 2pm to 6pm on Saturday, with complementary tea or coffee.

The exhibition opens 10am-6pm daily until Saturday September 20.
