Last chance to get yourpicture in Rye calendar

KEEN photographers have until May 31 to submit a picture for the Rye town calendar.

Each year Rye Tourist Information Centre launches an open photographic competition inviting people to send in pictures that capture the essence of Rye and the surrounding area.

The competition proved very popular and is now in its fourth year.

Rye Tourist Information Centre manager Tracey Young said: “Building on the success of the previous three years, we are looking for stunning images of this beautiful town and surrounding areas.

“We are looking for original images that showcase the changing seasons in Rye and capture what the area means to you.”

Tracey added: “As we are approaching the May 31 closing date for the competition we would not want anyone to miss out.”

The competition is open to all ages and levels of ability; however entries are limited to three images per person.

The twelve winning photographs will be featured in a 2015 Calendar ‘Rye and Beyond’.

To enter simply pick up an entry form from Rye Tourist Information Centre,4/5 Lion Street, Rye, East Sussex. Tel: 01797 229049.

The closing date for entries is Saturday May 31.

Judges will include local photographer and gallery owner Clive Sawyer. Calendars will go on sale at the TIC later this year.
