Leads sought on lead thieves
LEAD thieves have struck again in Bexhill, with about 20 metres of lead stolen from the roof of a block of garages in Alderton Court, West Parade, between Friday, May 13 and Monday, May 16, and more taken from the roof of Sidley Primary School.
Past targets have included local schools and churches, and the Bexhill Neighbourhood Policing team has provided crime prevention advice to owners of vulnerable properties. Officers have also stepped up night patrols in a bid to catch or deter offenders.
Anyone with information that may help them, or who sees any suspicious activity, should either dial 999 if they believe a theft is in progress, or call Sussex Police on 0845 60 70 999 with other details which may be of use.
