Leaflet promotes coastal cycling and tourism

CYCLING in Adur and Worthing is being promoted as part of the Seaconomics project.

A leaflet has been produced by Adur and Worthing councils in a bid to highlight the scenic delights of the coastal cycling route and its visitor attractions.

The route follows the curve of the bay from Worthing to Southwick and cycling along it makes for a great family outing with plenty of interesting stop-offs and rest points along the way, including Worthing Pier, Brooklands Pleasure Park in Lancing and Carats Café at Shoreham Harbour.

Local tourism businesses are also invited to take part in a Cycling Workshop to learn more about what visiting cyclists are looking for, including cycle-friendly accommodation, pit stops and somewhere to fill up water bottles.

A limited number of cycle repair kits and cycle-friendly stickers are available for businesses who are interested in taking part in the scheme.

The cycling leaflet is available across the district including the Visit Worthing Information Centre.

It can be downloaded at www.visitworthing.co.uk/what-to-do-/walking-and-cycling
