Learn about caring for people suffering from dementia

Find out more about caring for people living with dementia on Wednesday from 11am at Care UK’s Bowes House care home in Hailsham.

Chris Moon-Willems, from Relative Matters, will be joining the team at Bowes House, Battle Road, to share her knowledge and provide practical guidance for those caring for someone living with dementia.

Chris will draw from her own experiences caring for her mother and what she has learnt from working with others who are living with the condition.

She will also provide practical tips on how to communicate with someone who has dementia, echoing Care UK’s recently launched Listen, Talk, Connect guide.

Chris will be on hand to answer any questions and there will be an opportunity for members of the public to meet the carers at Bowes House.

Home Manager Alison Barnes, said: “At Care UK, we understand being armed with plenty of expert advice and information can make all the difference for those caring for loved ones living with dementia. By hosting a seminar on the subject, we can ensure this information is communicated clearly and concisely, with visitors having the opportunity to speak to the professionals.”
