Learn to make this year one of improvement in Bognor

BROCHURES to make 2012 a year of learning are being sent out across the Bognor Regis area.

The information booklets received by thousands of households show how residents can learn a new skill, take up a new hobby or develop your job skills with the West Sussex adult and community learning service.

They detail the spring and summer programme of courses in Bognor, Felpham and Westergate.

West Sussex County Council cabinet member for education and schools Peter Griffiths said: “We learnt from our extensive student consultation last year that house delivery of brochures was really appreciated.

“They proved a real success, with enrolments in some areas increasing by as much as 48 per cent. The new brochures are currently being delivered direct to West Sussex households.

“The adult learning service provides many courses for all abilities.

“If you’re looking to change career or develop your job skills, then why not see what’s available. It could be the opportunity you need to start a new career.”

More than 2,000 courses will be held by the service during the year, from maths and English skills to computer training and bookkeeping.
