Leigh Farrow, the Labour councillor banned by his party from standing next May, has switched to UKIP.

Leigh Farrow, the Labour councillor banned by his party from standing next May, has switched to UKIP.

Councillor Farrow, who represents Moulsecoomb and Bevendean, took his seat as the first UKIP member yesterday (Thursday).

Cllr Farrow, 59, said: "The whole political map has changed.  Labour hasn't done itself any favours, either nationally and locally. What I am concerned to do is represent working people - because it is working people who seem to bearing all the weight of what's occurring at the moment."
