Let's get busy

Football for wobbly walkers - what could be more fun than that?

Teeny tots and more confident walkers took part in Kickstart activity at Freedom Leisure aimed at bringing parents together with their children.

Active Rother, set up by the Council and NHS Hastings and Rother, is working with Rother Children's Centres to develop a new project enabling children to have fun whilst improving imaginations, co-ordination and social skills.

The scheme is based at Bexhill Leisure Centre and taster sessions are taking place during February for selected community groups.

Kick Start caters for two age groups; 'Wobbly Walkers', ages 1 to 2 years and 'Confident Walkers', ages 2 to 4 years.

Provided these taster events attract a good number of participants, Kick Start sessions will be offered regularly to all who wish to participate, on a first come first serve basis costing 1 per child.

It is aimed for the scheme to roll out on the first and last Saturday of each month.
