MEMBERS of the East Sussex Fire and Rescue Service at Lewes are getting on their bikes for good causes.

Red Watch, Lewes, is taking up the challenge of cycling 170 miles around all the fire stations in East Sussex, over three days, to raise money for the Firefighters’ Charity and Samuel’s Children’s Charity - which provides support to families affected by childhood cancer.

They will be on the road from May 14-16 and the team would be grateful for your support on their journey around the county.

Red Watch will also be fundraising on their training bike, in full fire kit, outside Tesco’s in Lewes tomorrow morning (Saturday April 28) between 9.30am and 1pm, so feel free to go along and support them!

The charity cycle ride itinerary is as follows:

May 14 - Red Watch will be cycling to Preston Circus, Hove, Roedean, Newhaven, Seaford (lunch), Hailsham, Herstmonceux, Headquarters, Eastbourne, Pevensey.

May 15 - Bexhill, Bohemia Road, The Ridge, Rye (lunch), Broad Oak, Battle, Burwash, Wadhurst.

May 16 - Mayfield, Heathfield, Crowborough, Forest Row (lunch), Training Centre, Uckfield, Barcombe - and back to Lewes!
