Lewes men in court after stabbing in town


Two Lewes men are appearing in court following a stabbing incident in the town.

Karl Kidman, 21, of Yarrow Road, and William Muncaster, 24, of Churchill Road, are due to appear in custody at Brighton Magistrates’ Court on Monday October 21, charged with causing grievous bodily harm with intent to a 25-year old Lewes man at about 7pm on Friday October 19.

Muncaster is also charged with possessing an offensive weapon, a knife/knuckleduster.

The man was found at an address in Arundel Green and was taken to the Royal Sussex County Hospital in Brighton with a stab wound to his abdomen and cut to his right arm.

He is currently still in hospital in a stable and non-life threatening condition.
