BIZARRE modes of transport have become as much a part of the school prom tradition as stunning dresses and snappy DJs.
Priory School, Lewes, youngsters travelled in style - their vehicles included gleaming sports cars, a vintage bus and even a tractor.
A total of 180 Year 11 students, together with 30 members of staff, attended the prom at the East Sussex National Golf Club near Uckfield.
All were elegantly dressed for the evening, which proved a great success and featured eating, drinking - soft drinks! - and dancing.
The Year 11 tutors, some of whom have been with the students since they arrived at Priory, performed a dance which went down a storm with the young revellers.
A Priory School spokesman said: “They have been an excellent year group, and we wish them all well for the future.”
