Lewes Remembrance Sunday services

TRIBUTES will paid at remembrance services in Lewes.

The services will be held on Remembrance Sunday (November 9) and a smaller service takes place on Tuesday (November 11).

On Sunday members of the Royal British Legion will be joined by LGB Brass for a march to the Lewes War Memorial at 2.35pm.

They will be joined by the Mayor of Lewes and a civic party before marching to St John sub Castro Church where a service will be taken by the Bishop of Lewes, Wallace Benn at 3pm.

Road closures will be in place throughout this time on Lewes High Street and the route to the church.

On November 11 a two minute silence will be observed at the war memorial and a service will be taken by Royal British Legion Chaplain, the Rev Robert Bell.
