DUE to unforseen circumstances, Lewes Rep Theatre has changed the dates for performances of ‘Playing Pinter’.
It will now be staged at the Phoenix Theatre and Studios, Phoenix Way, on March 9 and 10 with two shows each evening beginning at 7pm and 9pm.
‘Playing Pinter’ has been described as “a wonderful jaunt into the surreal, very funny yet touching”.
Next month’s performances will be part of two open days, when the venue opens at 4pm. Lewes Rep would like to meet writers, teachers, actors, technicians and fundraisers for two Chekhov comedies and an original production, ‘Freddie’s Last Finale’.
Tickets are £6 on the door and £5 from The Lansdown Arms. They are also available from www.phoenixtheatreandstudios.org
‘Playing Pinter’ is written and performed by SJ O’Kane and is the 17th original production of Lewes Rep. It returns to the county town after a fun of 28 performances at The Old Red Lion Theatre in London.
Mr O’Kane, Director of Lewes Rep, said: “After a long run it’s a pleasure to play the show as part of an open day. I’m looking forward to meeting new talent and old friends.”
