Lewes Town Hall hosts festive concert

The Lewes Concert Orchestra give their Christmas concert at Lewes Town Hall on Friday (December 20).

They will be joined by the baritone Andrew Robinson and the Lewes-based choir Schola Cantorum, together with the flute players Anne Hodgson and Sue Gregg.

The programme will include a selection of carols, and a number of other seasonal items. However, they will also play some more classical music - Jupiter and Venus from Holst’s the Planets, the Troika from Lieutenant Kije by Prokoviev, and part of a double flute concerto by the 18th century Italian composer Cimarosa. Tickets are available at the door from 7pm (the concert starts at 7.30pm) and are £10 for adults and only £5 for under-18s .
