Lib Dems hold council

The Liberal Democrats have kept control of Lewes District Council.

In yesterday's elections they lost seats but still have a majority of five over all other parties.

The new council is composed of 23 Liberal Democrats, 17 Conservatives and one Independent.

The Tories won seats on the coast at Peacehaven and Seaford.

The old council was made up of 27 Lib Dems, 10 Conservatives and four Independents.
