Horsham District Council (HDC) announced this week that it will spend £325,000 on new lifts in both the Forum and Piries Place car parks in Horsham.

Work will start in the Forum car park on February 29, and in Piries Place car park on August 1.

HDC says they plan to limit disruption and noise, particularly for Forum residents, by restricting working hours to 8am to 5pm Monday to Friday, and by replacing one lift at a time in each car park.

Gordon Lindsay (Con, Billingshurst and Shipley), cabinet member for the local economy, said: “I am glad that we are replacing the current facilities with new, modern lifts which will deliver an improved service for our customers.”
