Lions club collection results

BEXHILL-ON-SEA Lions Club would like to thank all who donated so generously to their recent collections in Bexhill, Sidley and Little Common.

Both the Alexandra Rose Charities and the Bexhill-on-Sea Lions Club will benefit from the generosity of the local shoppers.

The total raised from the 7th March collections was 407.38, with no expenses.

Lion, Avril Earnshaw - this years Fund Raising Chairman - said the monies will be just in time to help the Lions Youth Awards fund ready for next month.

Avril said:"We are so grateful to everyone who managed to put their hands in their purses and pockets and give as much as they could afford to help such a worthy cause. This collection actually exceeded previous collections by over 150, thank you everyone!"

She added: "After another year of collections the Youth Awards Fund is now looking a little healthier. However, as the new requests from the Youth Organisations and Clubs start to roll in, we are again looking for contributions from Business Sponsorship and donations to rebuild the fund for 2010, as at the end of March the Youth Fund will be at rock bottom again. If you can help in any way, please do not hesitate to contact us."
