Lions Club Giant Easter Egg Raffle

THE ANNUAL pre-Easter roll out of the Lions Club Easter Eggs has begun in earnest, and there's a big treat in store for local chocolate lovers as Bexhill Lions Club have pledged even more of their giant chocolate Easter Eggs this year.

"With eleven new locations joining in this year, there's never been a better chance of winning one of our Giant Eggs", said Lions fund-raiser Avril Earnshaw, "so the message to chocoholics in Bexhill is, 'go find an egg'."

But as the saying goes, 'you have to be in it to win it', and the Lions are urging people to buy a raffle ticket and help raise money for the Bexhill Lions Charity Fund.

"They'll be easy to find," continued Avril, "as there are a total of 43 Giant Eggs in local pubs, clubs, restaurants, cafes, and possibly even in your office! And when you see one, that's your chance to enter a raffle to win it. So if you'd like a chocolate treat this Easter, have a go (or two!) where you see a Lions Club Giant Egg. Indeed, as each contains a kilogram of luxury milk chocolate you may even have to share it with family and friends! And don't forget that all profits from the Easter Egg raffles goes to the Bexhill Lions Charity fund, which is used to support many local worthy causes, as well as special initiatives by Lions Club International."

Last year the Lions raised 1,640 from the Easter Egg raffle, which Lions Club Secretary Danny Nicolle said was, "a good result".

He added: "This is one of our major fundraisers and we are hoping that this year, despite the current economic climate, that we will raise even more than we did last year."
