Lions Club invites youth groups to bid for cash aid

The Lions have run their Youth Awards scheme for many years, thanks to a generous bequest.

With this reserve now all but exhausted they have been busy fund-raising to boost the scheme.

The scheme is open to non-profit making youth groups in the town for the purchase of equipment or the funding of projects.

Bids explaining the work of the youth group and the project or equipment needed and its approximate cost should be submitted to the chairman of Bexhill Lions Club's youth committee, Lion Avril Earnshaw, at Flat 4, The Normans, Normandale, Bexhill TN39 3NU.

The closing date is March 31.
