Hailsham Lions has already started planning its fundraising activities for this year - and said it wanted to thank residents for their support during 2014.
So far the Lions has planned an Easter tombola and the return of the much loved Country Fayre.
The Country Fayre is due to take place on June 14.
A spokeswoman for Hailsham Lions said: “They would like to extend a huge vote of thanks to the people of Hailsham and surrounding areas for once again contributing so generously to their events during 2014, enabling them to continue helping those in need.
“For example, Hailsham Lions financially helped charities like - 2ndHailsham Scouts, Marie Curie, Children With Cancer Fund, Royal British Legion, Poppy Appeal, Out & About Club, Zoe’s Dance Group, Hailsham Trust, Jemini, Hailsham’s YMCA, Medic Alert, Kent, Surrey and Sussex Air Ambulance, Shoe Box Appeal, Message In A Bottle, and the Hailsham Swimming Club.
“Without the public’s kind support, the Lions wouldn’t be able to respond to the many calls for help.”
Hailsham Lions was formed in 1970.
Since then they have been very active in the community and over the years the club has raised thousands of pounds for charity.
All of the money raised by the club goes to local good causes. For more information about the Hailsham Lions or if you are interested in joining the club visit its website at http://www.hailshamlions.co.uk/
