Little Common School on prestigious awards shortlist

LITTLE Common School has been shortlisted in the Times Educational Supplement Schools Awards (TESSAs), being nominated in a new category, Outstanding Teacher Resource of the Year.

It aims to highlight exemplary resources created by teachers and shared with colleagues nationwide, and received hundreds of nominations.

David Pratt, headteacher at Little Common School, said: "This is down to Sue Williams, a long-standing member of our team who loves teaching, particularly literacy.

"She's brimming with ideas and we're so pleased other teachers can share them.

"We're thrilled, delighted and very proud to have our school short-listed."

Lisa Goll, marketing manager for TES Resources, said: "With more than 24,000 teachers sharing more than 44,000 ideas, resources and lesson plans, it is helping to raise standards across the UK."

The final round of judging has yet to take place and the winners will not be announced until a grand lunch at the Grosvenor Hotel in London on Thursday, June 17.
