Littlehampton band’s charity gig at Christmas lights event

A LITTLEHAMPTON band will get into the festive spirit when they play a live set in aid of a Climping charity at this year’s switching on of the town’s Christmas lights.

The Nuts, who won Chichester’s live battle of the bands competition this year, will sing outside Sainsbury’s, in the High Street, Littlehampton, as part of the town’s Christmas lights celebrations on November 29.

The band, which plays a type of music some have described as ‘back to basics guitar rock’, will play a live set in aid of Crossroads Care South Central.

“I have seen them at many gigs locally and in London. They have had a great year and I think it is admirable they are supporting Crossroads Care South Central.

“Simon knows the type of work I do and how important it is to these families to have help.

“They play music that will appeal to the young and old.

“I hope people enjoy the evening and can donate to the charity on the night. “

Sharon Blaikie, from Landon Sounds Events, will also be providing a PA system for the band to support the charity.

The band will get into the Christmas spirit with a cover of The Pogues amongs other songs they will be playing on the night.
