Littlehampton coach is recognised with '˜Diamond' status

A weight loss coach has been awarded '˜Diamond Coach' status after helping residents in Littlehampton and Rustington lose 500 stone in 2016.

Dianne Hopwood was recognised for her service to Weight Watchers members in the area at her meeting in Woodlands Centre, Rustington. She was presented with the award by area service manager Zoe Lysandrou.

The award, which celebrates coaches who have provided exceptional support to their members during their weight loss journey, is only given out once every two years to a select group of Weight Watchers experts across the country.

With a plan personalised to each member’s age, gender, BMI and lifestyle, Dianne, who has lost 84lbs and maintained for 23 years, is committed to helping every member achieve their goal and equips residents with the skills and techniques required to build a positive relationship between food, mind and body for good.

James Brock, a Weight Watchers member, says the accolade is very well-deserved. He said: “Dianne is a real inspiration to me and the other members in our meeting. She always provides great tips, tricks and support to help us achieve our weight loss goals and develop healthier habits. I have lost three stone with Dianne and I’ve never felt better! I’ll even be taking part in the Iron Man Challenge this year.”

It is the ninth time Dianne has been awarded Diamond status and she is thrilled.

She said: “I’m so proud of my members and what they’ve achieved; it has been a fantastic year and to receive this award for doing something I love is amazing! It’s great to see my members enjoying the food they love and jumping off the scales happy.

Dianne runs three meetings a week in Littlehampton Academy on Tuesday at 6.30pm-7.30pm, and at Rushington Woodland Centre on Wednesdays at 4.45pm-5.45pm and 6pm-7pm.
